Restless Leg Syndrome

According to pubMed Health Restless leg syndrome is a disorder in which there is an urge or need to move the legs to stop unpleasant sensations. The condition is characterised by twitchy legs, especially at night. It is mostly commonly seen in women and the elderly. It can however be passed on in the family and affected the young as well. The unpleasant sensation in the leg is described as creeping, crawling, aching, pulling, searing, tingling, bubbling, or crawling and could last for about an hour. Conventional medicine provides no cure for this condition.

Some medicinal herbs can be used to cure restless leg syndrome and some of them are lime, valerian, oat, chamomile, St John's Wort and Cramp bark.

How to use medicinal herbs to cure Restless Leg Syndrome.

One can take a mix of equal parts of St John's wort, oat and limeflower tinctures three times a day.

To have some sleep at night which is a big problem for those suffering from restless leg syndrome, the patient has to take a tincture mix composed of equal parts of hops and valerian and take up to one half fl oz before going to sleep.

Every evening before going to bed the patient must massage the calf muscles with liniment of 2 parts chamomile infused oil and one part of cramp bark or valerian.
