Propolis

bee Propolis

Propolis is  a bee product that bees use to protect the bee hive from infections whether viral, fungal or bacterial. It is a powerful natural product indeed and is now used by humans for various respiratory problems such as flu, chest infection, bronchitis and sore throat. When taken together with many conventional antibiotics it will enchance their efficacy in fighting infections.

Propolis can also be used in combination with other herbs such as elderflower and echinacea to protect and heal the body from various infections. It can be taken in the form of a tincture, capsules, tablets or as a spray. As as spray you can make it from the propolis tincture and spray the back of the throat. Due to its taste you may experience some stinging when you spray the back of the throat. The spray will deal with sore throats whether caused by bacteria or by viruses.

Dosage for Propolis

Take at least two tablets of propolis three times a day. In case of propolis tincture 4 drops three times a day will do. Two or three puffs for the propolis spray to the back of the throat.

Benefits of Lemon Juice

Lemon Juice made from lemon citrus limon has a number of medicinal and other benefits. Firstly lemon are rich in bioflavanoids, vitamin A, B, C and volatile oil. Bioflavanoids help to strengthen the circulation and heal varicose veins. Studies have shown that taking lemon juice can reduce or prevent arteriosclerosis . Lemon juice is also helpful in stimulating digestion.

Taking lemon juice when suffering from colds and flu can go a long way in enhancing the body's immunity as it fights the diseases. To further enhance its effectiveness mix to a glass of juice of two lemons, 2-4 teaspoons of elderflower cordial and a couple of slivers of crushed ginger. These are heated and left to cool for about five minutes before being taken. Personally taking lemon juice where at least two crushed garlic cloves have been added has proven effective in fighting flu and colds for me.

On top of the benefits of lemon juice mentioned above Lemon citrus limon is anti-inflammatory, antioxidant, antiseptic and nutritive.
