Medicinal Plants Neem

Neem is one of the most versatile medicinal herbs used for a variety of conditions. For centuries in India where the tree originated from used neem twigs as a makeshift toothbrush. Since neem has antiseptic properties, this brushing of the teeth by a crushed neem twig prevented tooth decay and oral infections. Since neem is also anti- inflammatory this brushing helped lessen inflammation of gums.

Neem extracts have also been shown to reduce blood pressure. When neem is applied to the skin infected with skin diseases such as eczema it stimulates the skin's immune system to fight skin diseases such as scabies.

The oil from neem has also been shown to be spermicidal and research is continuing to use it as a male contraceptive. This neem oil can also be inserted into the vagina before sex and will get rid of sperms during sexual intercourse.
