Home Remedies For Impetigo

Impetigo is a contagious skin infection caused by one of two bacteria: staphylococcus aureus or group A streptococcus. It usually produces blisters or sores on the face, neck, hands, and diaper. Impetigo is common among kids.

First use a heat treatment, usually a bath is preferred , in which crusts are removed, followed by a charcoal compress in the interval between baths. Every two hours a new hot bath can be administered. Towels should be kept strictly separate so that the patient does not share a towel with any other person, and the towel used on the affected area is not used elsewhere, as the lesions tend to spread easily.
