Warts and Verrucas

warts
Warts are small, usually painless growths on the skin. Warts and verrucas are caused by viruses.  They usually go away on their own within one or two years. They usually grow on the hand but  sometimes on other parts such as the genitals especially in cases of venereal disease.  People who are susceptible to warts often have a suppressed immune system. In the past doctors used to burn a verrucas or wart off the skin but soon they came back. Inorder to deal with warts you need to kill off the causative agent by taking immune stimulating herbs such as those that are also antiviral such as echinacea and astragalus to prevent recurrence of stubborn warts and verrucas.

How to cure warts.
  • rub a dandelion flower milk sap from the stem to the wart or verruca. Continue applying at least three times a day until the wart goes. Dandelion has antiviral properties
  • Use a banana peel that has gone black and place it on the skin with the inside of the peel touching the affected part. Hold it to the skin with a sticking plaster on any available clean wrap.
