Sweet Cherry Prunus Avium

Sweet Cherry prunus avium is medicinal herb native to south - western Asia. It has also been naturalised in Europe and other regions of the world. The parts of sweet cherry used for their medicinal properties are the stems and fruit. Patients are however cautioned fro using sweet cherry seeds as they are toxic.

Medicinal Uses of Sweet Cherry Prunus Avium herb

In European herbal medicine tradition sweet cherry is used  for its diuretic and astringent properties. It is prescribed for cystitis, nephritis, urinary retention and for arthritic problems, notably gout.
