The Benefits of Saunas


The benefits of saunas are many and varied and go a long way in helping the body to cure yourself of disease and prevent diseases naturally. The following are some of the health benefits associated with saunas:-
  • Sweating leads to the elimination of toxins from the body through the skin. An accumulation of toxins in the body is injurious to the body and can cause all sorts of health problems such as migraines and cancers

  • Being in a sauna increases blood flow to the skin by about 50 to 70% resulting in more nutrients to the skin and therefore healing and glowing skin or healthy skin and clear complexion.

  • It also helps in digestion and can help in nausea and reducing stomach pain

  • May also relieve pain in arthritis patients.

  • The induced fever as a result of the increased body temperature stimulates the body's immune system through increased production of disease fightin white blood cells, interferon (which is is antiviral protein also known to fight cancer cells) and  antibodies.
