Sulfur Bath

Sulfur bath is used to treat acne, lice, impetigo, infected eczema, and other skin diseases.

How a Sulfur Bath Is Performed.

  • Use about one-third to one-half the usual quantity of water for a bath. We therefore use 10-15 gallons of water for the sulfur bath.
  • Stir one-half to one ounce of potassium sulfate in the 10 to 15 gallons of water at 102°
  • Let the patient sit in the water and dip the medicated water onto the skin surface for 30 to 60 minutes.
  • After the bath blot dry the skin without friction.
