Mouth Health

I have collected some simple steps that we need to follow to maintain a clean healthy mouth. Simple but very effective steps that will prevent future inconveniences in gum diseases and loss of teeth and ensure mouth health. Here we go.

For a Clean, Healthy Mouth

  • You need to brush he teeth at least twice a day. Better, brush them after every meal. Most important, brush them before going to bed, for tooth decay is most likely to occur during sleep. Brush, without much pressure, for at least two minutes.
  • Another simple but sometimes neglected advice is to keep your toothbrush clean.
  • Do you fear the dentist? Then go to him often — at least, once in six months — and he will clean your teeth and fill cavities before they become sensitive and painful. Frequent early visits to the dentist are less expensive, and less painful than visits which are made after the tooth has become sensitive through neglect.

There also some other simple don'ts that we need to follow for mouth health.

  • Don't put fingers into the mouth.
  • Don't wet fingers in mouth when reading.
  • Don't put pencils, money, pins, or any other objects — aside from clean food and drink — into the mouth.
  • Don't eat from an apple or other food that another person has tasted.
