Lack of Appetite in Children

In the book Health Through God's Pharmacy, the author Maria Treben gives a testimony on how some herbs helped a mother who had a 2 year old baby with a chronic loss of appetite. The baby developed dark rings under the eyes as a result and hardly ever ventured out. Maria Treben says she advised the mother to give the child a Thyme bath which was prepared from 50gm of herbs. To prepare such a bath the cut Thyme leaves are first put in boiling water with 1 heaped teaspoon of cut leaves per cup of healing water. The water is then allowed to cool to the level that a patient normally prefers. The amount of leaves can be doubled for a strong decoction.

Maria Treben further says she advised the woman with a child with chronic loss of appetite to start giving the child I cup of Stinging Nettle tea daily. To cut the story short the happy mother later returned with the good news that the child had soon after the treatment  showed a good appetite and enjoyed going outdoors.
